Overview

Lobster is the mainstay of our inshore fleet. Caught in the cold, clean waters off the northeast tip of Cape Breton Island, our wild Atlantic lobster is prized for firm, sweet meat — landed daily and moved straight to the plant so quality is locked in at the source.

We supply live lobster in season, and a complete frozen programme for buyers who need year-round, shippable product: whole cooked, whole raw and whole blanched lobster (10 lb cases), raw lobster bodies (25 lb cartons), raw lobster tails graded across the size range, and out-of-shell cooked tails and claws frozen in brine, plus CK (cooked) lobster meat.

Because the harvesters own the Co-op, we can commit to grades, formats and shipment windows and deal with you direct — including repeat foodservice and retail programmes.

Is your lobster wild-caught?

Yes. Our Homarus americanus is wild-harvested by Co-op members from the cold North Atlantic off northeastern Cape Breton — never farmed — and graded at our Neil's Harbour plant.

What forms do you supply?

Live lobster in season, plus whole cooked, raw and blanched frozen lobster, raw bodies, raw tails across the size range, out-of-shell cooked tails and claws frozen in brine, and CK lobster meat.

Can you supply frozen lobster year-round?

Yes. While live lobster follows the spring season, our frozen forms are produced and shipped year-round, supported by our holding and chilled-water facilities.
